Metal and glass design
The Nokia 7 brings glass and metal together with a 7000 Series aluminium solid frame and toughened Corning Gorilla Glass. The aluminium frame has diamond cut edges, while the 3D curved glass back has been thermally formed for perfect smoothness.

The Gloss Black Nokia 7 is very shiny indeed and catering to opposite tastes, the Matte White Nokia 7 isn’t shiny at all. The design in neither overly fat or thin at 7.9mm and there is a small camera bump of about 1mm.

The front of the phone features a 5.2” IPS Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (423 pixels per inch). The display is protected behind 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass.
Phone Set Up
Transferring content and security
The Nokia 7 has been given a generous amount of internal memory at 64GB. This should be plenty enough for most users but the memory can be expanded upon through the microSD card slot. This supports cards with a value of up to 128GB.
Once you have transferred your content over it is worth securing the phone. You can go old school with a PIN or password or jump into biometric security, with the fingerprint sensor that is located on the back.
The Nokia 7 is delivered with Android 7.1.1 Nougat but this Nokia phone is Oreo ready. This means that you can download the new OS as soon as Nokia makes it available. Along with an update to Oreo, the Nokia 7 will get monthly security updates.
There isn’t any bloatware on the Nokia 7, so you will get Google’s standard set of apps with access to more apps through the Play Store. More apps tend to slow things down, so this is a good way to start the experience.
The Nokia 7 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.8GHz octa-core processor. There is a choice of having 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM, the latter of which will be more expensive but offer better performance. Either way, the processor has been designed to be more power efficient, improving battery usage times.
Camera & Video
Dual Vision / Dual Sight
The Nokia 7 has a 16MP camera with an 80° wide angle Zeiss lens and a dual tone flash. This camera is capable of recording 4K video, which is great if you have a 4K TV to play them back on. On the opposite side, there is a 5MP portrait camera with an 84° wide angle lens.

There are a few camera features that make it stand out from the pack:
- Dual Vision Mode - Tagged as a ‘bothie’, the camera uses Dual-Sight Technology to take photos simultaneously with both the front and back camera. These images sit side-by-side in the viewfinder and works with both photos and videos.
- Nokia OZO Audio - Record surround sound for your videos.
