The Nokia 1 Plus has a solid feel and overall sturdy design making this phone able to handle everyday use easily. The chassis and dimensions of the smartphone make it fit perfectly in the hand and it's easy to use one-handed.
Available in Black, Red or Blue, you can easily find a colour to match your tastes. The phone is 8.8mm thick and weighs 206g. This makes the phone a little thicker than some and it certainly weighs in a little heavy. However, this extra girth is well worth it when we consider the technology onboard.
3D Nano Pattern Finish
The Nokia 1 Plus has been created with a combination of 3D nano-pattern technology and cutting-edge design elements. A seamless polycarbonate shell gives the phone a flawless finish. The colour of the chassis runs through the entirety of the shell, so if you scratch the cover it won't be so noticeable.
Phone Set Up
Easy to use
Getting started with the Nokia 1 Plus is quick and easy. The handset runs the more simple version of Android, Android Go, so you will quickly be able to understand how to use it. If you are new to smartphones or this is your first experience of Android, you will have no problems with the Nokia 1 Plus.
The Nokia 1 Plus is available with either 8GB or 16GB or onboard memory. Although this may not be as much as some other phones there is a microSD card slot. You can add further memory with a card of up to 128GB which will give you plenty of space for moving photos, music and more from your old handset.
The Nokia 1 Plus is an Android 9 smartphone and uses the Android Go version of the OS. This is a simplified version of Android with a clean design that is easier to use and navigate around. As it is an Android phone you get plenty of the familiar apps that you will have used on other devices such as Chrome, YouTube and Maps.
Some of the highlights of the Android Go system include:
Security and OS updates - the phone will receive monthly security updates to keep your information secured with the latest software and innovations. You will also receive the latest updates and patches for the OS to make sure the Nokia 1 Plus is always up to date and secure.
Optimised for space and performance - the simplified version of Android Go gives you less bloatware and takes up 50% less memory than the standard version of the OS. This allows the phone to perform more efficiently making the most of the processor and power.
Google Assistant - with Android Go the Google Assistant is always listening and ready to help when you need it. Using voice commands you can send text messages, do web searches and much more.
