LG K7 review
Our Thoughts: Budget phone for a young audience
The LG K7 smartphone has been created for a young audience on a budget and is more affordable than its slightly larger cousin, the LG K10.

The LG K7 will be offered with 4G internet connectivity, but if high-speed internet away from your home’s Wi-Fi hotspot isn’t essential, then further savings can be made by choosing the G K7 3G variant.
The LG K7 looks more expensive than it is with an 8.9mm thick curved body that has a stylish look about it. This is heightened with no buttons on the front or sides, that would otherwise break up the sleek design lines.
A modern finish has been applied to the back cover, where an intricate woven pattern pleases the eye, while giving the hand optimal grip. The Titan (grey) colour scheme is accentuated further with a chrome-coloured ear-piece speaker-grill.
Keep up to Date
Fill in the form and be the first to know when the LG K7 is released.
The attention to design detail continues on the front, where a single piece of 2.5D Arced Glass covers the complete face and 5” display. The display has a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, which equates to 196 pixels per inch.
The build quality includes a 1.1GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB RAM (1GB on the LG K7 3G). The 16GB internal memory (8GB on the LG K7 3G) is used to store the pre-installed apps, as well as offering the user spare memory for downloading new apps and saving photos, videos and other media.
Phone Set Up
The set up process for the LG K7 has been simplified by the LG Setup Wizard. After running through this users will be able to enjoy the popular Android Lollipop operating system. This gives the user the power to place live widgets onto the home screen and organise apps into folders, if so desired.
Google’s Android OS brings with it a portfolio of features that includes everything from the Gmail email client to Google Voice Search. For ease of operation the LG Rear Key, made popular on phones like the LG G4C, gives the index finger control over the volume and access to shortcuts.

Entertainment is enhanced by a back mounted speaker and when enjoying media in private is required, the audio jack that is located on the bottom edge, next to the microUSB port, can be used to connect earphones or headphones.
The inclusion of GPS services makes this cheap phone a practical choice with turn-by-turn navigation for those on foot or in a car.
Camera & Video
The 8MP camera (5MP on the LG K7 3G) really adds value to this budget phone. A simple Tap and Shoot system, using the screen as a viewfinder, keeps operation natural and the LED flash illuminates the scene after dark.
The secondary 5MP camera has been set up to make selfie photography as easy as possible and is accompanied by a special Flash for Selfie.
The Gesture Shot timer-feature is triggered by clenching a fist in front of the lens, while clenching the fist twice activates Gesture Interval Shot. This captures four consecutive images, improving the odds of capturing the perfect selfie every time.
