Red colour and design
The red glass enclosure uses the most durable glass compound ever used in a mobile phone or smartphone. A 50% deeper strengthening layer has been used and this is laser welded onto a steel foundation. So, not even is this the best looking iPhone ever, it is the hardiest of them too.

The Apple iPhone 8 RED has a colour matched red aluminium band and a black glass front. The fitting of these components is so precise that the shell is water resistant (IP67 certified).
The power button and volume buttons are coloured in the same shade of red as the glass enclosure, which is itself completely red apart from the apple logo. Even the raised ridge of the camera bump gets a red glossy finish.
One of the defining characteristics that sets the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus apart is the size of the screen. The iPhone 8 has a 4.7” display (750 x 1334 pixels), while the iPhone 8 Plus RED edition has a larger 5.5” display (1080 x 1920 pixels).
Consumer advice: Go for the iPhone 8 if budget is an issue, otherwise wow yourself and go for the iPhone 8 Plus.
Phone Set Up
The iPhone 8 RED has a fingerprint sensor built into the home key, which sits just below the display. You can use this to secure the phone or to pay for things in retail stores and online with Apple Pay.

Music that’s louder and in stereo
If you are a music lover, then the iPhone 8 RED will surprise you with its stereo speakers, deeper bass and overall, 25% louder sounds. When you can’t enjoy music out loud, you can use the EarPods in the box or connect headphones using the 3.5mm adapter, also in the box.

Camera & Video
Choose your camera
There’s another defining characteristic here that sets the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus apart. The iPhone 8 has a 12MP camera with a wide angle lens, while the iPhone 8 Plus has a Dual 12MP camera with a wide angle and telephoto lens.
