Super Retina screen and striking design
The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 6.5-inch Super Retina SDR display with a resolution of 1242 x 2688 pixels. The aspect ratio of 19.5:9 gives an amazing viewing experience with an all-screen look. A slim nodule above holds the camera and other sensors.

As this cutout is minimal you get more screen to immerse yourself into videos, movies or gaming. The screen is on a whole new level when it comes to brightness. It brightens to 800 nits when in bright sunlight and 1200 nits when watching content with extreme dynamic range. These record-breaking levels automatically come on depending on what you are doing, so you always get the perfect view.
This latest iPhone has been magnificently made with a selection of the best materials available. The phone is enclosed in an aerospace-grade aluminium frame. Precision engineering on the cases uses a single sheet of glass to give the phone a top-end look and feel. The front and back glass is made from the toughest glass ever seen on a smartphone. It has been strengthened through a dual ion-exchange to make it super tough. The new iPhone 11 Pro Max is water-resistant up to 2 metres for 30 minutes.
The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max is available in Space Grey, Gold, Silver, and Midnight Green. The iPhone Pro weighs 226g and measures 8.1mm thick.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has the new A13 Bionic processor. Apple has made this the most powerful processor ever used in a smartphone. The power management features and processing power mean that everything you do is fluid. The phone is available in three memory variants: 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
Top features of the new processor include:
- Fastest smartphone CPU - 20% faster with 30% less power consumption compared to the previous model
- 64-bit Fusion architecture - cores process complex tasks faster than ever
- Fastest GPU in a smartphone - 20% faster and 40% more energy efficient
Phone Set Up
Face ID is one of the most advanced facial recognition options on a phone. With the iPhone Pro Max, during setup, it projects 30,000 invisible dots onto your face. These dot-points accurately map your facial pattern using an infrared camera.
A unique map is created and referenced each time you unlock the phone. Once the phone recognises this incredibly detailed pattern as you, the phone unlocks. This type of system means that the phone doesn't store or share your image.
The Face ID feature can be used to sign in to apps or make payments with Apple Pay. As one of the most advanced facial recognition systems, it has been shown that the iPhone can't be tricked into unlocking as other phones can. Some systems have been unlocked using masks or photos, the iPhone won't do this.
The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max uses the latest iOS 13 with new improvements and features throughout. Apps are now even better and steps have been taken to make the whole system faster. With the most advanced processor ever used in a smartphone, iPhone 11 Pro Max very responsive whatever the task.

Some of the top features of iOS 13 include:
Siri - the digital assistant debuts a new voice and it uses advanced neural text-to-speech. Siri now works with apps in more ways with a built-in Shortcuts app. The app can also work with a HomePod and will learn the voices of different family members to personalise the experience to each person at home.
Dark Mode - the OS gets a new look when in Dark Mode. Every part has been designed to make it easier on the eyes and applies across all apps and menus. It will automatically turn on at night or you can choose to switch to it from the Control Centre.
3D Maps - new 3D Maps let you explore cities and move around 360 degrees in the images. You can move around the streets to find your bearings. Favourites collate a list of your most visited places so you can quickly select them to make your way there. Collections build lists of points of interest so you can explore even more.
Memoji - create your very own Memoji and personalise it more than ever. You can choose from different makeup options, hairstyles, or piercings. The Memoji gets made into sticker packs so you can use them in Mail and other messaging apps.
Augmented Reality - the amazingly powerful processor makes AR apps work better than ever before. ARKit 3 technology can now place objects in front or behind people for immersive AR.
Reminders - using the intelligence of Siri, the new Reminders app makes it easier to add appointments and tasks. The Quick toolbar allows you to add times or documents and smart lists will automatically organise your day.
CarPlay - a simplified dashboard on CarPlay gives you a clean and uncluttered view of the road ahead. It works with the Calendar app to give you a snapshot of your day's appointments. The display also works with Apple Music to get you to your favourite car journey playlists.
Camera & Video
The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max has an impressive rear camera which is made up of three lenses. The camera consists of:
- 12MP Ultra Wide lens - 4x more scene and 120-degree field of view
- 12MP Wide lens - a 6-element lens with Optical Image Stabilisation and 100% Focus Pixels
- Telephone lens - Large f2.0 aperture and 2x optical zoom
The new Ultra-Wide lens feature allows you to go much bigger on your photos. This lens captures four times more of the surrounding scene. Ideal for landscapes or crowd shots, you can get creative with the iPhone 11 Pro Max triple camera. The expanded field of view and Telephoto lens allows you to zoom in and out at an impressive range. So you can shoot images and then crop to certain parts without losing detail.
Night Mode is incredibly advanced with an automatic mode that doesn't use the flash. The colours are natural and images brighter without having to add noise from the light of a flash. You can also control the cameras manually to play around with the capture.
Portrait mode has extra lighting controls for making beautiful and artistic shots. Smart HDR uses machine learning to recognise people and processes them in the image. It makes people stand out with perfect highlights on the face and makes sure every sunset shot is stunning. The three lenses work together to capture more of the scene and the High-Key Light Mono effect creates professional monochrome shots.
Some of the top features of the camera on the iPhone 11 Pro Max are:
- 40% more light capture with the Telephoto lens
- 36% brighter True Tone Flash with Slow Sync
- Zero shutter lag
- 2x more height for panorama shots
- 6 lighting effects in Portrait Mode
- 4K video recording
The iPhone 11 Pro can capture 4K video at 60fps and the video options allow you to be as creative as you like. When you zoom in while recording video, the audio zooms in too. Video editing goes even further with advanced tools for cropping the action to just the frames you want. You can skew the video in editing and add different filters to get a truly cinematic finish.
Become a movie director and create amazing videos with as many effects as you like on the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max.
12MP Selfie camera
The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 12MP TrueDepth camera on the front that takes selfies. The stunning image capture results are always worth sharing. A new feature is the slofie, a slow-motion video recorded at 120 fps. When you want to capture more of the background, turn the phone into landscape and the camera will zoom out automatically.

The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 3,969mAh battery with advanced power management. The efficient processor and latest iOS 13 work together to deliver all-day battery power. When you need to recharge the phone includes fast-charge capability and an 18W charger for more power in less time. The battery provides:
