Popular smartphone app, WhatsApp, is currently being made available to iPhone customers for free as of Thursday last week.
WhatsApp entered our mobile phone vocabulary back in 2009 and has since taken off as a poplar means of communicating with people all around the world with avoiding costly charges. The app is similar to BlackBerry’s BBM and the iPhone’s iMessage, and uses the internet to send messages to other smartphones regardless of their make or model.
The app is currently free to download for all BlackBerry and Android users. However, it has always cost Apple users 99p to download the app, which hasn’t even included the use of emoticons.
WhatsApp have announced this week, though, that it will be making its app free to download for all iPhone users. So if your bank account is currently maxed out due to Christmas, get yourself an early present before the price increases again!
