Sony Xperia Z1 Mini rumours

Sony Xperia Z1 Mini rumours

A miniature version of the popular Sony Xperia Z1 has been spotted under the codename Amami.

Although an Xperia Z1 Mini was already found its way into the Japanese market, but it is believed that the Xperia Amami will hit the European market in the New Year.

So far the rumours suggest that the Xperia Z1 Mini will run Android Jelly Bean rather than the latest version of KitKat.

The device will also feature the exact same 2.2GHz quad-core processor and 20.7MP camera as the Z1, making it an impressive piece of tech for a mid-range smartphone.

In fact, the Xperia Amami is set to look a lot like the Xperia Z1 apart from its ‘miniature’ 4.3-inch screen.

Here are the prospective Z1 Mini specs against the current Z1:

As you can see above, the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini (if the rumours emerge to be true) will feature the majority of the same specifications as its bigger brother, most pleasingly its 20.7 MP camera.

Whether the device will also share the same array of camera features as the Z1 flagship will also be interesting to discover.
