The wait is nearly over for Sony users without the most recently released handsets, as the manufacturer have confirmed that Android 4.3 is in the final stages of release.
The likes of the Sony Xperia Z, already have the latest 4.3 update, leaving older handset users in the cold, but Sony has finally began to send out information to its users.
The update comes with a series of changes and fixes to the Android software and has been eagerly anticipated by Sony mobile customers since it was announced last year.
The update is set to hit users around the end of January through February, with different networks receiving the update at different times.
Location will also ultimately decide when your update will come through, with some users receiving the update as late as the end of February if they’re unlucky.
Sony has also mentioned Android 4.4 KitKat, mentioning that a number of the latest releases are in the queue for the update, with an actual date yet to be announced.
