Korean mobile phone giant, Samsung, has today announced its latest offering to the tablet market in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
According to the press release unveiled on the Samsung Mobile site, the new device will feature a 7 inch screen, designed to enhance both performance and functionality against the Galaxy Tab 2. The device will also sport a 3MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3 front facing lens, which still falls slightly short of the iPad Mini’s 5MP rear-facing lens.
Not only that but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is set to run Android’s Jelly Bean operating system, it will also be powered by a super-fast 1.2 GHz processor, making it the fastest running 7 inch Samsung tablet on the market.
The device is set to rival other similarly sized tablet devices such as the iPad Mini and Nexus 7, and with its good old Samsung charm, we could see the Tab 3 becoming the tablet of choice for users wanting a portable and stylish device that’s at the top of its game.
Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Tab 3 will be available to buy from May for the WiFi version, and later in June for the 3G capable device. Let’s just hope that the Korean manufacturer doesn’t suffer the same setbacks as with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 last weekend!
