Samsung has today rolled out the Galaxy Grand 2, the successor of the Galaxy Grand, a mid-range smartphone which fills the void between the Note 3 and the S4.
The device is described by Samsung as compact, but in truth, the Galaxy Grand 2 is anything but. With a 5.25-inch screen which benefits from multi window, however, the Grand 2 offers far more than your average mid-range smartphone.
Under the hood, the device features a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, an 8MP camera and a 2600mAh battery, positioning the Grand 2 as the Note 3’s little brother as far as specs go.
However, the Grand 2 does come with all of Samsung’s best apps already installed, including Story Album, S Translator, S Travel, Group Play and the Sound & Shot camera mode. Although Samsung is still holding back the S Pen from any of its non-Note devices, much to our disappointment, the Grand 2 does feature the same faux leather effect on its rear casing, which we expect to see a lot in all upcoming Samsung smartphones.
The Galaxy Grand 2 will come pre-installed with Android Jelly Bean (4.3) and will be available in black, white or pink. Samsung is yet to release the launch date of the Grand 2, but it is understood that the device will definitely reach the UK at some point in the near future.
