The Samsung Galaxy S5 was released only a few weeks ago, but could there be another flagship release from Samsung on the horizon already?
According to reports coming out of South Korea, the S5 Prime could be Samsung’s answer to premium styled handsets, by giving the S5 a metal casing along with some improved specs.
The S5 certainly didn’t disappoint us, finishing up joint top in out smartphone review charts, but it seems that Samsung isn’t resting on its laurels.
June is being chalked up as the most probable release date for the handset, which will face direct competition from the likes of the HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2 and the eagerly expected iPhone 6.
In terms of specs, we’re hearing talks of a GHD display, 3GB RAM, a quad-core 2.5GHz processor and a 16 megapixel lens, as well as the new chassis of course.
These rumours should be taken with a fairly well-sized pinch of salt for now, especially considering that Samsung released the S5 only a couple weeks ago.
But it would certainly make sense from Samsung, which is also expected to release a new Samsung Galaxy Zoom and S5 Mini smartphone sometime in the near future as well.
