Nokia has been making some progress in getting back in the mobile game amongst the top players, with the Lumia range offering handsets to suit every budget and recent sales figures shows an increase in Lumia handsets sold.
Now it looks like the Finnish manufacturer wants to get in on the phablet market too with rumours of a large screened smartphone on the horizon. The device is expected to have a 6-inch screen and, according to sources, it will be similar to the Galaxy Note but more advanced. The Galaxy Note II is very popular at the moment and users may be tempted by a Windows Phone phablet as making the progression from your PC/laptop to a Windows phone will certainly be easy.
The device is expected to have a 1080p screen and a quad-core processor and so far that is all we know as details are pretty thin on the ground.
Nokia has always been pretty good at providing a full choice of devices so a phablet could be the next natural step for them, whether it can compete with the Galaxy Note II will have to be decided when we see the full specifications of the device.
