Nokia has now officially unveiled the Nokia Lumia 625, an affordable 4G phone designed to give superfast mobile browsing and great mobile entertainment. This latest smartphone to be added to the Nokia Lumia family has the same sleek design and many of the features of the top end models
The Nokia Lumia range appears to be changing the fortunes of Nokia and now this latest addition rounds off the range with an affordable 4G Windows 8 Phone. So what has Nokia included with this latest smartphone? Let’s take a closer look.
The sensitive 4.7-inch LCD screen delivers impressive responsiveness and is great for web browsing and with Sunlight Readability Enhancement and High Brightness Mode it works well outdoors in bright sunlight as well as indoors. The screen also includes Super Sensitive touch which is useful when viewing images or browsing as you can easily zoom in or move around the screen.
The Nokia Lumia 625 also includes some of the camera functions as revealed on the Nokia Lumia 1020 recently, adding even more to the value of the phone. The Nokia Smart Camera app allows you to edit out objects from photos and Nokia Cinemagraph lets you add animation to images to add another dimension to the memories. The camera has a resolution of 5-megapixels and records 1080p video @30fps and for video chatting there is a VGA front facing camera.
The latest version of Windows Phone 8 is on board so you get the Live Tiles homescreen as well as Xbox Live and 7GB of online SkyDrive storage. The homescreen Live Tiles can be changed, rearranged and re-sized so you put the apps you want exactly where you want them.
The Windows App store has more than 165,000 apps to choose from and the Nokia Lumia 625 comes with Internet Explorer 10, People Hub and Nokia Music. Microsoft Office is also included so you can easily open, edit and create documents using Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
For navigation the Nokia Lumia 625 includes Nokia's HERE app which includes free maps and a public transport guide along with turn-by-turn navigation.
The Nokia Lumia 625 has a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 512MB RAM and 8GB of memory on board with a microSD card slot for cards up to 64GB.
This latest addition to the Nokia Lumia range gives users plenty of options when choosing a Windows 8 smartphone whichever price point they are looking at and we can expect the Nokia Lumia 625 to hit UK shelves around October.
