Microsoft Issues Pre-IFA Invites

What will we see from Nokia at IFA?

It looks like IFA could be as busy as ever, after Microsoft began to send out invites for a pre-IFA event, where it will most likely announce some new kit for us to play with.

IFA is set to get started on September 5th, running along until the 10th, when we should have our fill of smartphone technology for the end of the summer, and Microsoft isn’t planning on missing the Berlin based party.

The invite being issued by Microsoft isn’t exactly subtle, sporting a bright orange base, a hue we’ve seen leaked on numerous Nokia handsets, including the likes of the Lumia 730 which we wouldn’t be surprised to see in Germany by any stretch of the imagination.

What does this Microsoft invite suggest to us?

Also, Microsoft has also pretty much confirmed the presence of the regularly leaked Lumia 830 as well, showing off the handset’s camera module within the lettering of the invite, meaning we could well be getting a duo of Nokia by Microsoft handsets in Berlin.

The Lumia 730 was originally nicknamed the ‘Superman’, and will focus on selfies, which is also hinted in the invite with the phrase face time, and will boast a 5 megapixel front facing lens.

The handset is also expected to feature a 4.7” 720p display, 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage space.

The Lumia 830 offers up a slightly different style though, with a design reportedly similar to that of the Nokia Lumia 930, which boasted an aluminium trim and a hefty spec sheet.

The Nokia by Microsoft handset is expected to sport a 4.5” HD display and a 2.4GHz processor, whilst the 20 megapixel PureView camera has been the main selling point so far for the handset.

More specs have been thin on the ground surrounding the Lumia 830, meaning we’ll have to wait and see what Microsoft has in-store for us at its event, which is set to be held on September 4th.

Microsoft isn’t the only manufacturer set to hold its own event before IFA though, with Samsung also hosting its final UNPACKED event of the year, where it is set to reveal the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Could this be the Nokia Lumia 830?

Samsung’s event is also being simultaneously held in New York and Beijing as well as in Berlin on September 3rd, giving us smartphone lovers a pretty hectic schedule to get September going.

IFA is also set to feature plenty of other devices as well, with the Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact both set to make waves at the event.

The Motorola G2 and X+1 could also feature at the event, but they could choose to wait until after the event as well, so we’ll have to wait and see on its choice when the event opens.

Wearable tech is also on the schedule yet again, with the likes of the Moto 360 already creating a stir thanks to its stunning design.

Either way, it’s looking like IFA could well give us plenty to talk about ahead of the busy latter months of the year!
