The LG Optimus G Pro has now had an official launch in Japan and the specifications look set to make this a phone that gives the company some of the success it has enjoyed with previous releases.
The specifications make this phone the new flagship smartphone for LG, whether they intend to launch anything better at the MWC 2013 remains to be seen.
Android Jelly Bean is on board as well as a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro Chip and the large 5-inch LCD screen is backed up with a 3,000mAh battery so it should give a decent battery life. There is a massive 32GB of onboard storage space as well as a microSDXC card slot so even the most demanding app downloader should have enough space.
There is a 13-megapixel camera so the phone will deliver decent shots and videos and 4G/LTE connectivity gives access to the super-fast mobile network.
So far LG has only confirmed that the phone will be shipped in Japan in April, so UK availability should be a couple of months after that.
