Latest Android Update Hitting Samsung Handsets

Samsung S4 Android

Samsung Galaxy S4 users are getting a pre-MWC gift, as Google has started sending out the latest Android 4.4.2 update out for S4 users to download.

At the moment the update is restricted to Russia and India, where the S4 handset is most popular, but should be made available for the rest of us soon enough, as long as there aren’t any hiccups with the software.

To download the software, users will need around 1GB of internal memory available, and once downloaded, should take immediate effect.

This update will bring users all of KitKat updates that users have been hearing about, including some general fixes to help improve the efficiency of the base software.

Features included in the update include the Hangout messaging service, new location menu along with new icons on the user interface.

Whilst Russian and Indian users should be receiving the update now, we can expect to see it here in the UK in the next couple of weeks.

The update comes just in time for the upcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5, which is expected to appear Sunday evening, just hours before the start of MWC.
