Although Huawei is still a little known mobile phone manufacturer in the UK, it seems that the Chinese company is starting to make a name for itself across the globe, and rumours about its next release have already hit the news.
According to leaked images from French website, NoWhereElse, the Huawei Edge will sport a full aluminium body, following in the footsteps of the HTC One, offering a well-built and premium-looking model.
The phone will also be thinner than Huawei’s current flagship model revealed at this year’s CES in January, rumoured to measure in at just over 6mm thick, a whole 10 millimetres thinner than the iPhone 5.
Huawei’s new model will also feature a 4.9 inch screen, a 13MP rear facing camera, and will be available in either a 16GB or 32GB internal memory option. Running Jelly Bean version of Android, the Huawei Edge will essentially mimic most of the Ascend D2’s features and functions, being encompassed into a smaller, sleeker aluminium body.
So will the Edge flagship model finally put Huawei on the map in the UK’s mobile phone arena? Or will it slip by relatively quietly like the Ascend P1 and the Ascend D2 have?
