Thanks to a leak from Vietnam we have managed to catch a glimpse of the budget HTC Desire 200 device which will join the Desire 600 in HTC’s affordable smartphone range.
The device will sport a 3.5 inch LCD display and will be powered by a 1GHz processor with 4GB of internal memory. However, commentators have shown their disappointment at the inclusion of the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android, which, even for a budget device, is outdated.
The Desire 200 is also set to offer a 5MP camera and the same dual-frontal speakers and Beats Audio we’ve seen on the popular HTC One flagship model.
The hands-on video released by Vietnamese site thegiodidong doesn’t give that much away, however. Apart from revealing the HTC Desire 200’s v.4.0 Android operating system, there’s not much that sets the device apart from other budget devices, or even any HTC predecessors.
The cost of the Desire 200 is also unknown at present, though it is expected that the phone will hit the Asian markets long before it comes to the UK.
