Popular electronics company Acer has announced its latest addition to the smartphone market in the form of the Liquid S2 ahead of the popular consumer electronics show, IFA, in Berlin this week.
The device is allegedly the world’s first smartphone to offer 4K Ultra HD video, with 4x slow motion, filming 60 frames per second.

The 6-inch smartphone will also offer the fastest connectivity and processing speeds with its LTE compatibility and Snapdragon 800 2.2GHz processor.
Although Acer’s previous smartphones have been targeted at the low to mid-range market, the Liquid S2 phablet sets the bar slightly higher.
With a 13 megapixel camera, the S2 is pitched as the perfect guide to any budding photographer; its 2MP front-facing camera and 88 degree wide viewing angle makes for high quality photographs that could rival the best smartphones on the market.
The Acer Liquid S2, like previous Acer smartphones, will feature the Acer Float user interface, allowing users to flit between apps and programs seamlessly, without having to exit one to open another.
Both Acer and LG have tried to get ahead of the battle for publicity with this week’s news being crowded by IFA releases. Mobilephones.com is in Berlin and will be bringing you the latest smartphone news as it happens from the German capital.
