If you need broadband on the move or a backup internet connection then mobile broadband may be what you are looking for. Mobile broadband is simple to use anywhere there is a 3G signal, just plug the USB dongle in to your laptop or pc and you're away. You can get pay as you go mobile broadband if you only use it for occaisional travel, or you can opt for a monthly contract if you're going to use it regularly.
Most mobile broadband contracts have a fair use policy that limits how much data you can download, but unless you download large files or watch a lot of streaming video you shouldn't run in to any problems.
