BlackBerry – formerly ‘Research in Motion’ has introduced two new smartphones, namely the Z10 and Q10, into the market.
The BlackBerry Z10 comes in with a 4.2 inch touchscreen and is seen as possessing attractive hardware as well as the BlackBerry 10 operating system. This new smartphone was announced by the company on January 30th and was released first in the UK, with sales reaching the US markets by mid-March.
BlackBerry Z10 comes with the following specifications:
Easy and intelligent typing on a BlackBerry has always been its one major attraction. The Z10 with its ‘on screen’ keyboard is equally remarkable as the device quickly learns about your typing style and acclimatizes itself immediately, suggesting words even before you commence typing them. The new smartphone also cleans up messages in case users forget spacing in between words.
The one aspect that immediately attracts buyers, is that the Z10 is light and thin. Its total weight is just 135g while it measures 9mm in thickness. The Z10 fits well into the palm and due to its textured backing, feels comfortable to hold. It possesses a removable battery which can be changed by snapping off the back cover, while it snaps on easily as well without much maneuvering.
BlackBerry Q10 has the following features:
This Blackberry Q10 smartphone sports a more intricate design as compared to the Z10. It possesses a back plate made of all glass with reinforced resin for extra durability.
When comparing Blackberry Z10 and Q10 one will find that the Z10 possesses a more enhanced display while resolutions are also higher. It also features LTE which is missing where the Q10 is concerned. Q10 on the other hand, sports a QWERTY keyboard which is what will attract many buyers. Z10, however, comes with its own set of problems which includes dearth of sufficient applications and slower boot time that is expected of a smartphone in its class.
The Q10 is scheduled for launch in April 2013. Coupled with BlackBerry 10 OS, this smartphone is ideally suited for personal and professional usage. The BlackBerry 10 OS offers close to 70,000 apps in BlackBerry World Store, including the most popular social media apps such as Skype, Facebook, Linkedin, and WhatsApp, as well as Amazon’s Kindle app, Tuneln radio, and much more. It is these 70,000+ apps which will ensure its success and attractiveness to an increased number of buyers.
