A sleek black casing with silver edging heralds the stylish capabilities of the Samsung L770, a slider phone with 3G capabilities and a fine array of business applications. It is a compact phone (102 x 48 x 14.2 mm) and light to the feel (93g), but offering a large screen (2.1-inch; 240 pixels by 320 pixels screen resolution in high colour), with a navigation jog wheel at the front.

Its feature set is respectable rather than surprising: a 2 megapixel camera with video and built-in flash. The L770 has a blogging facility, allowing you to send pictures to a blog site which can be viewed by others, helped by an integral picture editor.

A second camera for 3G video calling sits above the main colour screen - a video call allows you to talk with other 3G video calling-compatible contacts; you can view your contacts on screen while the second camera is capturing your expressions and movements which are shown on the other contact's screen. Built-in 3G HSDPA gives you high-speed data transfers and Internet capabilities.

This triband phone (plus UMTS) supports EDGE and GPRS for high-speed data transfer and, of course, there is a Bluetooth® wireless connection and a USB cabled connection to other compatible PCs, laptops and printers. The L770 comes with 40 MB of internal memory and comes with slot for a MicroSD™ memory card.

For entertainment, there is a built-in music player supporting MP3s and all the other main formats, along with an FM radio with an RDS feature which allowing you to enjoy view information on the screen which is sent directly from the station you are tuned to. You can create, send and receive emails and the L770 supports SMS (text) and MMS (picture and video messaging).

An Internet feature which allows the user to access the Web & enjoy a mobile Internet experience on the L770. The user can create, send or receive emails on the Samsung L770 which allows the user to enjoy mobile emailing wherever they happen to be. The phone also supports MMS multimedia messaging which is a picture & video messaging service. The user can create a SMS text messaging which can be shared with other SMS compatible contacts.

Battery life is rated at up to three hours of talk time and 220 hours on standby.
