More Mid-Range To Release The Fun!

What's the big deal about the Samsung Galaxy A8?Samsung’s next upper mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A8 is aiming to bring a beautifully crafted design to your pocket for a fraction of the price you’d pay for a flagship handset.

Improved A8 Specs

Whilst its predecessor, the Galaxy A7, wasn’t exactly mind blowing behind the scenes, the A8 is continuing to follow suit by providing good specs to suit the casual smartphone user.

You can expect to find a large 5.5” Super AMOLED 1080p display, making it ideal for viewing your favourite films or simply sending a text. Beneath this we’re getting a Snapdragon 615 chipset and a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, both of which guarantee you a half decent operating speed at the worst of times.

32GB of internal storage also makes the cut, whilst if you find yourself in need of more room you can always add to this via MicroSD. 2GB RAM is also included to help when it comes to multitasking, whilst a sizeable 3050mAh battery guarantees you a healthy length of time before you’ll need to recharge.

Classic Samsung Camera

The camera which featured on the Galaxy A7 was nothing to be scoffed at by any means, but it seems that Samsung is intending to improve this with this latest handset.

The rear lens looks set to grow from the 13 megapixel mark right up to 16 megapixels, whilst the front facer will be staying put at 5 megapixels. The main improvements will come behind the scenes however, with more camera apps and software improvements upping the A8’s game.

This makes the Samsung Galaxy A8 ideal if you’re an Insta-addict or serial Snapchatter!

Galaxy A8 Design

One thing which made its predecessor a real success was its design, so it’s no surprise to see the A8 bringing some similar stylings along to play this time out!

Rocking an impossibly thin 5.9mm chassis, the A8 will be incredibly easy to grasp and also very light, and the style doesn’t stop there either. Rocking a full metallic build, the A8 will be able to rival even the most expensive flagship phone – all whilst costing notably less!

4G + Android Lollipop on the Galaxy A8!

Who says you can’t get the latest features for less than those crazy flagship prices? With the Galaxy A8 it looks like you’ll be getting plenty of great extras without paying through the nose for them!

4G connectivity is set to be included as standard, meaning you can rid yourself of those slow loading videos and web pages when you’re out and about. On top of this, Android Lollipop is also promising to offer up the latest software for the foreseeable future, with numerous updates!

If you’re lucky, you might even be given Android M when it arrives as well!

Galaxy A8 Launch Date

Samsung is rumoured to be planning the A8’s launch date for some time in September, which automatically starts ringing alarm bells for IFA, which is also scheduled for the beginning of the month.

With reports suggesting that the Galaxy Note 5 could miss the event, the A8 could then be left as the sole Samsung device to get shown off at the event.

Of course, as more information comes along we’ll be sure to keep you up to date, so keep your eyes peeled!
