The Samsung F480 Tocco will suit both the business person demanding international roaming (triband GSM good for most of Europe and the US), for example, and anyone committed to mobile entertainment facilities (there is a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash; a multi-format music player).

The display is a large (2.8-inch) touch screen, which provides a high colour output with a 240 x 320 pixel screen resolution. The exterior is beautiful and fashionable with its subtle chrome trim and smooth black coloured finish. At 11.8 x, 55 x 95.9 mm and weighing only 91g, the F480 also has fashion in mind, with its ultra-slim casing.

The camera comes with flash and autofocus; there is a built in camera stabiliser and the F480 comes with video features which allows you play and record video footage. It supports MPEG4 format video as well as H264 and H263 video formats. An integral video stabiliser allows you to record video footage smoothly the usual small hand movements affecting the finished video recording. A music player supports MP3 format, AAC & AAC+ formats.

EDGE technology delivers fast data transfers - up to three times faster than GPRS transfer rates; there is support for Bluetooth®, along with A2DP capabilities which allows the user to enjoy a wireless connection between their phone and other compatible devices including a PC, printer, laptop or a Bluetooth® headphones. A USB connection supports a conventional wired cable connection.

The 3G technology allows you to enjoy 3G video calling, high speed Internet, transfer rates, downloads and multitasking. All the main messaging formats are supported, including email.
