The Nokia 1650 is a basic no-frills mobile phone that does what it says on the tin - no more, no less.
It comes with many user friendly and useful call features - a compact and sturdy handset (17.8 mm x 104.2 x 43.8 width), weighing 80 g. The screen is a 65,000 colour display - a CSTN screen with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. A good size keypad comes with shortcut keys, giving quick access to features including the messaging service, contact details, calendar, loudspeaker FM radio and flashlight.
The 1650 has a power saving mode allowing you to conserve power and gain more talk time, plus a time tracker feature when you want to pre-set a length of time you wish to talk for. The phone will disconnect after the pre-set time has expired. It offers SMS messaging service including a picture message feature for sharing SMS pictures and graphics as a SMS message. The SMS inbox can hold up to 250 messages. There are preloaded games, including snake xenzia, beach rally and soccer league.
The battery is rated at eight hours of talk time and up to 420 hours of standby. There are 8 MB of internal memory and the 1650 is a dual band phone. It supports polyphonic and MP3 ringtones. It supports voice recording - short clips can be stored on the handset and used as a reminder or as a voice note. There is a handsfree speaker function and numerous "daily" features including an alarm clock, calculator, stopwatch, localised calendars and countdown timer.
