With amazing specs and a forward-thinking modular design, the Moto Z Force is a strong addition to Motorola’s flagship line-up, and there’s no doubt it’ll manage to compete with some of the more famous releases of the year – all thanks to its fantastic modules.
The Moto Z Force was first announced in June 2016, and is available to purchase SIM-free from Motorola’s own website. However, there doesn’t seem to be any contracts on the market allowing you to receive a free handset when you sign up. We’ll update this page as soon as the Moto Z Force becomes available on contracts, from all the best mobile providers in the UK.

We take a look at the main new features and how it effects your usage.
Set to be one of the most exciting modular smartphones of the year (sorry, LG G5 – we still like you), the Moto Z Force features a wide range of modules, dubbed ‘Moto Mods’ by the company. These include a projector capable of projecting an image or video at the impressive size of 70 inches, a speaker which doubles as a battery pack, and battery-only packs which provide up to 2,200 mAh of extra battery life.
Motorola got there before Apple – but not many people know about it. The Moto Z Force, like all other devices in the Moto Z series, does not feature a headphone jack. Instead, users will have to plug their headphones in the USB Type-C port, meaning you won’t be able to charge your phone and listen to music at the same time.
Just like Apple, Motorola is including a 3.5mm adaptor with the handset, so you don’t have to give up using traditional headphones if you don’t want to – but Bluetooth headphones might soon become the new standard.
The Moto Z force has a secret weapon: a shaterproof screen. Not only is the display is out of this world, it's also super-resistant to everything from scratches, bumps, and even drops from as high as five feet, thanks to Motorola's own patented 'Shattershield' technology.
Right now, no contracts are available which offer the brand new Motorola handset without a high upfront cost, but have a look at all the deals offered and find the best price for your budget!
The Moto Z Force costs around £579 SIM-free, and contracts can be expected to set you back about £40 each month depending on your chosen tariff.
