Caterpillar has a rich heritage dating back to 1904 and today Caterpillar mobile phones are sold in more than 30 countries. Built to last and designed to compliment a tough lifestyle, these strong and practical devices are suited for the construction site, farm and rigours of an active lifestyle.
Caterpillar smartphones are dust tight, waterproof (CAT S40 submersible in water to a depth of one metre for up to 60 minutes) and have displays that are scratch resistant and protected behind Corning Gorilla Glass 4, or as otherwise stated. They are often constructed to meet military standard credentials, such as MIL-SPEC 810G and to meet IP certifications, such as IP68.
As individually specified, Caterpillar phones may withstand drops onto concrete from a height of up to 1.8 metres, withstand extreme temperature variations from -25C to 55C and, like the CAT S40, use ultra bright displays for use outdoors and under direct sunlight.
Caterpillar phones are smart too, with Google’s Android operating system and 4G, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity. Their phones also use extremely large batteries to offer extended usage and standby times, which can be as high as 30 days.
