Following on from the success of the iPhone 7 in 2016, we can expect Apple to release the latest flagship in their line of smartphones come September – and we’re pretty sure it will be called the iPhone 8. Thanks to a large number of leaks and rumours, here’s everything we can expect from this handset.
The next phone set to be released by Apple, the iPhone 8 will be without a doubt the best flagship handset to ever make its way out of Apple’s office: it’s sure to feature a brilliant design and high-end specs, as well as some innovations that may just change the way we use smartphones.
Pay Monthly, SIM Free & Upgrades
Rumoured on Release - 32GB / 128GB / 256GB - Colours
It's not out yet, but it looks like a 2017 release, keep up to date though - just fill in the form and we will do the rest.
Expected to bring in many significant changes and updates to the current Apple line-up, the iPhone 8 is sure to be a very popular device as soon as it’s officially launched
We can expect it to bring the best of Apple’s operating system, iOS, as well as pack a powerful A11 processor and rumoured crisp OLED display. The design, too, will be something to get excited about – Apple handsets are well overdue an update in design, and rumour has it 2017 might finally be the year we see an all-glass iPhone.
Apple have been releasing new handsets in a fairly predictable manner for a while: a new smartphone usually hits the shelves around September each year, and there’s no reason to expect the iPhone 8 to come out any other time. With just under a year to wait for Apple’s next iPhone release, it’s time to get excited about what might be. Take a look at this concept video!

At this point, it’s only speculation – but here’s what we think might be featured on the new iPhone when it launches…
The new Apple smartphone is still a long way away, but rumours have surfaced detailing some of the specs and features we can expect to see on the iPhone 8 when it finally launches. Read on to learn more!
Every year , Apple upgrades their operating system and bring new exciting features to the table - and there's no reason to believe 2017 will be any different! We can expect the iPhone 8 to run iOS 8 when it launches, but a beta version of the OS might be released even before that.
What will iOS 11 be like? Hopefully, we'll be treated to a more 'human' Siri - but don't worry, AI won't be taking over just yet! It'll simply allow the assistant to sound more natural when spoken to, as well as speak in more realistic accents. Other rumoured features include a night-viewing 'Dark Mode' designed to be kind on your eyes, as well as a contact availability status features similar to the 'Active Now' feature on Facebook Messenger.
It seems like this rumour is thrown around each year, but could 2017 finally be the year Apple releases an all-glass iPhone? We'll have to wait for September to be sure, but rumour has it it will be happening. This all-glass screen will lose the home button for good, instead focusing on a ForceTouch sensitive display.
What's more, there's hope for a super-HD OLED screen, with holographic and 3D technology added for good measure - whether that's true or not, we can't say. But keep checking, we'll update as soon as it's all confirmed!
Well - as huge as any iPhone battery can be! (Sorry, Apple, but you have to admit battery capacity is not one of your main worries when creating a new iPhone. However, there's hope that 2017 will bring about some much-needed change. Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, has indeed mentioned the company was looking into AI technology in order to increase the iPhone's battery life. Stay tuned for more info on that!
