Top 5 Online Shopping Apps

Get your shopping done quickly and easily on the go, with our pick of the top 5 online shopping apps. With online retailer apps and apps that help you always find the best deal, these apps are must-haves.

eBay

eBay is the biggest online auction and shopping website, a great place to find a bargain, new or used, or sell your own items. The EBay mobile app is easy to use, has all the features of the website, plus more!

You are less likely to lose an auction as the app has alerts to tell you when you have been outbid, or when the auction is near the end. This means you no longer have to sit staring at the eBay screen on your computer to ensure you don’t miss out on that great bargain.

You can save favourite sellers and add items to a watch list, and set up notifications to remind you to bid. The app also allows you to share items or sellers with friends via email, social media or SMS.

For sellers, you can snap a picture with your phone of what you are selling and then upload it straight on to the app, making creating your listing quick and easy. You can also easily and quickly manage your messages from bidders and organise payment and shipping, so that you keep your high seller rating.

Amazon Mobile

Amazon was one of the pioneers of online shopping, and now it is doing just as well with mobile shopping.

With Amazon Mobile, you can shop just as you do on the Amazon website, but on the go on your mobile. You can sign in with your existing account, so there is no need to set up your payment and personal details again. This app also has Amazon’s famed 1-Click purchase option, making shopping at Amazon super quick and easy.

You can add items to a wish list and like the eBay app, Amazon mobile allows you to share items with friends via email, social media and SMS.

ASOS

ASOS is the UK’s largest independent online fashion and beauty retailer, and is the top online fashion destination for 20-somethings, male and female.

The ASOS shopping app allows you to shop from the same huge range that’s on the website, with a stylish and easy to use layout.

By signing in, your ASOS account is synced between the website and the mobile app. Items you have ‘saved for later’, or added to your shopping bag on the website are automatically brought to the app, so you can shop with ease across all platforms.

The app offers outfit inspiration for the item you’re looking at as well as the ‘Daily Edit’ – a selection of the site’s best items.

The app also contains the view catwalk option that is a fantastic feature on the website. The catwalk videos load very quickly on the app and give you the opportunity to see how the item moves and looks in real life.

Vouchercloud

Vouchercloud allows you to get vouchers and discount codes straight to your phone.

The app uses your phone’s location to help you find vouchers to use in your local area. There are vouchers for use both in-store and online

You can sort the offer by distance, category or name. Vouchercloud covers a range of categories, from shopping, restaurants, health and beauty, even leisure activities and holidays.

Vouchercloud is fast and easy to use, there’s no printing out of vouchers at home before you leave, giving you the freedom of deciding when you’re out where you want to go.

All you need to do is show the discount code to the cashier in the shop or restaurant or wherever, and they will discount your bill accordingly.

Vouchercloud is a great way to make big savings all year round.

RedLaser

RedLaser is a free barcode scanner that helps you compare and review prices between stores.

Hover the app over a barcode to scan it and the app will come up with a list of retailers where it can be bought, with their prices, so you can always find the best price for what you want.

RedLaser only takes a second or two to recognise a bar code, even if scanning in poor light.

If an item doesn’t have the barcode sticker on it, for example if it is someone else’s and they have taken it off, then there are other ways RedLaser allows you to search. You can simply type the name of the product in, or you can take a photograph of the product and the app will recognise and search for the item.

RedLaser suggests other products you might be interested on, based on your recent scans. You can categorise what you have scanned into lists, to save things to come back to later.

You can also email a list of scanned items, which is useful for those who like to be specific when making a Christmas list or a gift registry.
