Why not start strong with a flagship phone, eh? By far the best of the current bunch is the Lumia 930, which not only performs under the hood, but also looks the part as well.
Offering up a full HD 5” display, you won’t be struggling to find your way with the Nokia handset, whilst a 2.2GHz quad-core processor and Snapdragon 800 chipset also guarantee you fast speeds.
The semi-metallic build keeps it on a par with some of the latest technological trends, even though it does struggle to compare with full metal phones like the iPhone 6 and HTC One M9.
However, with a 20 megapixel camera, 32GB storage and 2GB RAM working on top of Windows Phone 8.1, you’ll struggle to find a more assured handset sporting the Microsoft operating system.
For those of you in need of a huge screen, why not pick yourself up a Windows Phone phablet? And there’s none better than the Lumia 1520!
With a 6” display and whole host of power-packing internal kit to play with, you definitely won’t be getting frustrated with this smartphone in your pocket.
A quad-core processor, Snapdragon 800 chipset and 2GB RAM all provide a good experience for phablet fans. Plus, if you’re always finding yourself with a low battery, you won’t have to worry thanks to the 3400mAh battery crammed in the back.
So, if you need as big a screen as possible, with the Windows operating system in tow, you’ll struggle to do better than the Lumia 1520.
Smartphones aren’t all about flashy specs, big screens and ridiculously high price tags, you know. Sometimes we need a phone that won’t be setting us back and simply does the job – and that’s where the Lumia 435 stands out.
Costing less than £50 sim-free, the Lumia 435 might not be jam-packed with features, but it’s the best Windows Phone on offer if you don’t want to splash the cash.
It offers a modest 4” display, a Snapdragon 200 chipset and 8GB storage, all for markedly less than a night out on the town. You even get a planned upgrade to the Windows 10 to keep the handset fresh as well.
Of course, if you’re looking to replace your iPhone, the Lumia 435 might fail to impress – but if you can manage your expectations, you’ll have a task finding a better phone for the same price.
Let’s face it, if you’re not a big fan of your Nokia/Microsoft smartphones – it’s safe to say you won’t be enjoying the Windows Phone selection all that much. However, not all of your hope is lost – as HTC could be to the rescue!
You might remember the HTC One M8 from last year; however, HTC has also launched the device with the Windows Phone operating system as well. This means you can pick up all of those great flagship features without having to adapt to the Android operating system.
You get that lovely metallic construction, and all of the HTC features from before – all with the Windows Phone system behind it! What more could you ask for?

Photography has become a huge part of our smartphones now, and you needn’t worry about missing out by investing in a Windows Phone handset, all thanks to the Lumia 1020.
It’s not the newest handset by any means, but packing a 41 megapixel lens it’s by far the best camera toting handset of our selection. It also boasts a Carl Zeiss lens and Pureview technology, both of which ensure that pictures come out incredibly sharp.
You even get a lossless zoom that brings you closer to the action than ever before, making it a great smartphone to invest in if you rate your Instagram posts over your texts.
This isn’t to say that you get short changed with the specs either, with a very friendly set of kit behind the scenes as well!
