Our Best of British series of app reviews continues today with a focus on saving money and getting a great deal.
There is nothing more pleasing, particularly in the current financial climate, than finding reduced price shopping items, acquiring exclusive discount vouchers and getting money off when eating out.
Thankfully the smartphone app delivers again and the OffersOn app puts all of this in your pocket. It’s like having a virtual high street in your pocket and wherever you go.
The OffersOn app is available to download for free on both Apple and Android smartphones and I highly recommend that you do as I personally really enjoyed using the app and after ordering a Domino’s Pizza with 50% off I was completely hooked!
Upon opening the app you are presented with 4 main tabs which include offers, meal deals, student deals and competitions.
On this page you can explore loads of UK offers and they are all grouped into separate categories such as fashion, supermarkets, pets and many more. Navigation has been made easy, simply tap to enter a category or hit the back button on the top of each page.
When you find an offer you can simply tap the ‘get this offer’ button while bellow this you have the option to share the offer with your friends and family via Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or email.
If you love food then the meal deals tab is for you. You can view this page either as a list of offers or on a map.
The map is populated with red pins and you can zoom in or out or alternatively hit the locate button to zoom into your location using GPS.
The remaining tabs work like those above and there is a simple search tool included as well.
Simply type in a keyword such as pizza and you will get just those results on one page.
Yes, it’s free and I am personally using it to make sure that I don’t miss out on discounts. So before I even think of buying something or eating out I will be checking the OffersOn app.
You may also like to visit the OffersOn website and store it into your smartphone or tablet as a bookmark. The website has been tailored in a way that is clear and easy to use, with a little pinch & zoom, when browsed on a mobile phone.
If you don’t have a smartphone but would really like start exploring the world of apps then take a look at our smartphone reviews page, it will help guide you towards your next purchase.
