What handset should you use if you want a high quality selfie?
Although our selfies might not get millions of retweets, our selfies are still important to us, and seeing the picture in the best possible quality is equally important.
So, what smartphones offer us the best selfies? Let’s take a look.
HTC made the headlines this year by creating the HTC 10, the world’s first dual OIS for pro-level photos on both cameras. This means that selfies taken on the 5MP selfie camera are bright, sharp, rich and steady, allowing users to shoot without the fear of hand-shake ruining the shot.

A large pixel sensor, f/1.8 lens, Auto-HDR and screen flash ensures low-light selfie photography is well handled, while the wide-angle lens enables the photographing of groups. Camera features includes live make-up, voice selfie, a 10-second timer, quick launch in 0.6 seconds and Full HD 1080p video recording with stereo 24-bit Hi-Res audio recording, which captures 256 times more detail over twice the frequency range.
To testify further to the excellence of the phone’s selfie camera, we find a camera quality DxOMark score of 88, which is one of the highest scores of 2016.
The LG G5 has an impressive 8MP selfie camera and this is backed up by dual-main cameras. In this case there is a 16MP camera with a 75 degree field of view and a 8MP camera with a 135 degree field of view. This uniquely lets the user zoom out, as well as in.

The 5.3” display (2560 x 1440 pixels) is extremely well suited to be used as a camera viewfinder. The screen has 60 percent more brightness, compared to previous LG camera phones, and is visible under sunlight with 800 nit output, in comparison to standard LCD displays that have an output of around 300 nit.
This is the phone which superceded the one Bradley Cooper and Ellen Degeneres used to take that record-breaking selfie at the Oscars, so it's no surprise to see it make this list!
The Note 4 offers just a 3.7 megapixel front facing camera, but thanks to some fancy image stabilisation and autofocus, pictures still come out nice and sharp.

Also, you can get a great look at the picture after you’ve taken it thanks to the 5.7” QHD display which shows off the snap in all of its glory.
Finally, with all of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s simple to use internet features you can stick the selfie online almost instantly after taking it.
The Huawei P9 is a very special camera phone that brings professional standards with it. The professional-grade main camera has dual 12MP lens made by Leica for capturing 300 percent more detail, while the all import selfie camera has a very high 8MP resolution.

The 5.2” display is the perfect medium for showing off photographic results, as it emits light from 96 percent of the colour spectrum, giving high colour saturation and contrast. The screen shows off the finest detail with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The Sony Xperia X has a very good 13MP selfie camera that can shoot in low light. With a 22mm wide-angle lens, this selfie phone can also capture group selfies and record selfie videos at 1080p quality.

The main camera has a 23MP lens and Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, to ensure that photos with moving objects always come out blur free. For showing off photographs, there is a 5” Full HD display that uses Sony BRAVIA TV technology to make colours brighter.
